Story

Can You Share a Bit About Your Journey and What Inspired You to Become a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach?

Before becoming a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, August Beverly worked in marketing, juggling high stress, poor sleep, and frustrating cycles of weight gain, low energy, and hormonal imbalances. Struggling with PMS, skin irritation, and stress, she turned to counseling and holistic wellness, discovering the power of food as medicine, toxin reduction, and personalized health strategies.

In 2021, August left marketing to pursue her passion for helping women achieve lasting wellness. Now, as a mom of two, she simplifies health through her ABH Method, focusing on nutrition, movement, sleep, stress resilience, and joy to help clients feel energized and in control.

About

How Would August Beverly Health Be Described in Three Words?

Flexible, Caring, Proactive

Approach

The Abh Method Is a Key Part of Your Approach. Can you Walk Us Through What it is and how it helps your clients?

The ABH Method takes a simple, preventative approach to health, focusing on six core elements: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, joy, and toxin reduction. By strengthening these foundations, health becomes easier to manage, helping women and families break free from quick-fix cycles and make lasting, realistic changes. The ABH Method is designed to help women build routines that fit into their life-not add more stress—so you can feel your best without feeling overwhelmed.

Small Steps

Toxin Reduction Can Be a Big Shift. What Are Some Easy Swaps People Can Start with Today?

1. Laundry Products - Ditch harmful detergents and dryer sheets for fragrance-free, non-toxic options like Branch Basics and wool dryer balls.

2. Plastic - Swap plastic containers for glass and use stainless steel water bottles to reduce exposure.

Impactful

What's One Small Daily Habit that Can Have a Big Impact on Someone's Well-being?

Start your day with one small act just for you—it sets the tone for everything that follows. Whether it's a healthy breakfast, a quick workout, or enjoying your coffee in the sun, prioritizing yourself first makes it easier to make positive choices all day long.

Tips

Sleep and Stress Resilience Are Often Overlooked in Wellness Conversations. What Are Your Top Recommendations for Improving These Areas?

For better sleep, align your circadian rhythm by sticking to a consistent sleep schedule-even on weekends. A steady routine helps regulate your internal clock, making sleep easier and more restorative.

When stress rises, joy fades. If joy feels distant, it's a sign to slow down, let go, and laugh more. We carry a heavy mental load, and without relief, stress takes over. Pausing, resetting, and reconnecting with joy strengthens resilience and restores balance.

Expertise

What's a Common Myth About Health and Wellness that You'd Love to Debunk?

Sweat and soreness don't define workout quality. Muscle growth happens without soreness, and too much can slow progress and increase injury risk.

Sweating is just your body cooling down, not a sign of effort. Consistency, recovery, and long-term results matter more than how sore or sweaty you get. Don't fall for marketing that says otherwise!

I use my Oura Ring daily for insights on sleep, stress, cycle tracking, and movement. It provides real data to see what's working and how habits impact recovery. Even on off days, it keeps me accountable and motivated to improve.

Inspiration

Are There Any Books, Podcasts, or Resources that Have Inspired Your Health journey?

My health journey has been shaped by diverse perspectives, from nutrition debates to wellness approaches. I believe growth comes from questioning what we think we know and staying open to new ideas.
