Wally Workman Gallery | There is no better time than the present to show support to our local artist. Wally Workman is now offering virtual exhibition videos and virtual content directly from their artists every few days!
Wildflower Organics | Not only are they offering a new shop-from-home option but the local boutique has also teamed up with @poppyhopfloral on a new floral delivery service. Just pick a vase and they’ll take care of the rest!
Ways to Support Austin: Restaurants Giving Back
From opening up kitchens to the service industry to donating bread, these restaurants are helping the Austin community.
Easy Tiger | Their bakery is in overdrive working with @ctxfoodbank, @keepaustinfed, @driveasenior and @mobileloaves to provide freshly baked goods to those in need. Easy Tiger will match every bread purchase with a loaf for the community!
Hat Creek Burger Company | Hat Creek has partnered with @fostervillageaustin with a “Buy One, Give One” initiative. Buy one of their family-sized hamburger casseroles for $18 and then buy a second casserole for $9 for a family in need.
P. Terry’s Burger Stand | This local burger stand continues to offer food via their drive-thrus and is also partnering with various local businesses to provide free meals to healthcare workers on the frontline.
Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop | While nabbing one of their cupcake decorating kits, be sure to add a CupCare Package to your cart to send some sweets to our local heroes – health care workers, first responders, shelters, and animal rescue centers.
Texas Honey Ham Company | In addition to being able to order their menu curbside, they are helping families in need by partnering with Partnerships for Children and Favor. With a $100 donation, they provide a family with a ham, sides, and cookies.
Vic & Al’s | Family-ran Italian truck Patrizi’s decided to postpone the opening of its next restaurant, Vic & Al’s in Cherrywood, and repurposed it into a community kitchen instead. They’re dishing out free hot meals to anyone in need – to-go only, of course.
Foreign & Domestic | The North Loop gem has an online ordering system for curbside pickup of fresh pastas, breads (available by the loaf or slice), quarts of milks, bags of flour, blocks of cheddar, and eggs by the dozen.
Jester King Brewery | The Dripping Springs brewery has launched a country shop on its grounds, selling excess goods from the kitchen and its suppliers. Orders over $50 even come with two complimentary rolls of toilet paper.
Salt & Time | The east Austin butcher shop and restaurant has raw meat, produce, dairy and cheese, wine and beer, and limited amounts of toilet paper and paper towels, which are also available through its online store.
Sawyer & Co. | This East Side New Orleans-ish diner has opened its own web store, selling its food and premixed drinks alongside basics like tweezers, nail files, diapers, cold medicine, candies, and more.
Spread & Co. | The West Austin cafe is offering “quarantine survival bags” that include bread, cheese, cookie dough, coffee, and wine. It’s all available through online ordering for delivery or curbside pickups.
Sour Duck Market | The East Austin restaurant has transformed into a farmers market with an ever-changing selection of fresh local produce and dairy. Delivery and curbside pickup are available.
Ways to Support Austin: Give Help
Help local charities who are working hard to meet the needs of our neighbors.
All Together ATX | Helping Austin-area organizations provide basic amenities, health services and child care to those hurt by the coronavirus crisis.
Austin Pets Alive! | With less adopters and donations coming in, Austin Pets Alive! has created new ways to help save pets while you do something fun from home – yoga, concerts, dog treat baking, and more!
Central Austin Food Bank | Providing food for those in need by donating, volunteering, spreading the word or by creating a virtual food drive.
The Comfort Food Care Program | Provides meals for at-risk youth and families in communities across Texas. As part of the program, participating restaurants offer CFCPs for patrons to purchase on behalf of families and youth in need.
Family Eldercare | Provides essential services to seniors, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers. They will also be mobilizing their Summer Fan Drive early this year and taking donations of the critically needed items listed on their website.
Friends of the Children Austin | Provide a salaried, professional mentor, called a Friend, for an at-risk child’s entire childhood, from kindergarten through high school graduation, a total of 12.5 years.
Hedley & Bennett | The kitchen-wear empire has converted their factories into making masks for those on the front lines. Purchase a mask individually with their Buy 1 – Give 1 plan and they will donate a mask to a healthcare facility in need.
Hundred for Hospitality | A fundraiser launched by local restaurants – including P. Terry’s, Peached Tortilla, and Burro Cheese Kitchen – who have pledged to serve 1,400 meals to hospitality workers in need.
Meals on Wheels Central Texas | The Meal Delivery Program is a program that provides home-delivered prepared meals for seniors and other homebound clients throughout the Austin area.
Mobile Loaves & Fishes | Their food truck and volunteers hit the streets 7 nights a week, 365 days a year to serve the homeless, delivering food, clothing, hygiene products, and other life-sustaining items.
Soteria Austin | Help spread love and cheer on Easter Sunday to as many healthcare workers as possible. Specifically healthcare workers that work “behind the scenes” such as medical techs, custodial staff, and nurses.
Stand With Austin | Receives charitable donations to support nonprofits assisting individuals and small businesses most negatively impacted by the cancellation of SXSW and least able to recover on their own.
