From iconic street art to the eye-catching skyline, Austin has no shortage of options when it comes to Instagram-worthy locations. We’ve rounded up a few our favorite photo ops here in town, ranging from tourist hot spots to lesser known places favored by locals.

Teresita Fernández: Stacked Waters  |  200 E. MLK Jr. Blvd

As one of the permanent museum collections, Stacked Waters welcomes visitors with color and illusion into Blanton’s atrium.

‘Till Death Do Us Part  |  E. 7th St and Waller St

There are a few “’till death do us part” murals in Austin but this one takes the cake. Perfect spot for a couples shot!

The Famous Austin Motel Sign  |  1220 S. Congress Ave

Located on South Congress, this historic and quirky motel provides the quintessential Austin experience.

One of Austin’s oldest tourist attractions and the perfect place to see all that Austin has to offer: views of downtown, Lake Austin, and the surrounding hill country.

Hi, How Are You?  |  Guadalupe and 21st St

One of America’s most famous pieces of street art, this mural can be found on anything from T-shirts to baby onesies.

June’s gets all the details right – cafe tables, shiny checkered floors, a jukebox, and also a dog-friendly patio.

I Love You So Much  |  1300 S. Congress Ave

The simple green wall with the spray-painted words has become an iconic cult spot for couples to take a photo.

Greetings From Austin  |  720 S. 1st St

There are few streets with more character than South 1st and the postcard mural, “Greetings From Austin” has become the go-to spot to snap a selfie in Austin.

The Congress bridge is a must on the photo op list, especially in the evenings when the sun starts to set and the bats start flying out from under the bridge.

An iconic symbol of Austin! Be sure to hike the trail up to the picturesque views of the bridge, lake and hill country.

The Texas State Capitol  |  1100 Congress Ave

Everything is bigger in Texas! The Capitol offers tons of great photo ops, especially the famous domed ceiling.

Justine’s Brasserie Mirror Room  |  4710 E. 5th St

Head over to this East Austin restaurant to enjoy dinner on the patio, amongst the disco-ball bedazzled trees and then after dinner, be sure to take a quick photo in their mirrored “infinity room”.
